HYDRAULIC CYLINDERS MANUFACTURING

The integration and supervision provided by the 4.0 industry permit the exact monitoring of the manufacturing phases of each project.

In order to guarantee their reliability and the complance to the strict self-imposed parameters regulating the company policy, Bicelli manufacture all the cylinders in house. Starting from the engineering, the company have tested and approved every single production step.

The shopfloor, over a surface of 6.500 sqm, has the latest technologies available on the market. From the first project, the system connecting the Engineering Department and the shopfloor – resulting from the 4.0 industry investments – gathers all the data and plans automatically all the parts and manufacturing phases needed to obtain the finished product. Everything starts from the automated warehouse, kept constantly supplied, which guarantees an accurate and steady production pace. Intelligent vertical warehouses select the parts required to begin the production.

At a later step, tubes and bars are cut and machined by the latest CNC lathes and machining centres. The integration between the departments allows the automated machinery setting for the work needed to carry out every single project.

WELDING, ASSEMBLING, TESTING, PAINTING

Once the turning is finished, the cylinders are ready for the welding. Skilled personnel work on mechanised welding robots: as CNC machines, these robots are supervised by the intelligent system which manages the production at Bicelli. The cylinders produced are used in several sectors, all over the world. From cold to dry climate areas, from places which are wet or full of remains, the weldings must guarantee the seal against leakage. For this reason, Bicelli have a quality certified system according to ISO 9001:2015.

As the parts have been welded and machined, they are handed over to the Assembly Department. Here, every worker knows exactly all the specifications of the finished product. Once assembled, 100% of the cylinders are tested by air. In case of issues, the faulty cylinder would go back to the manufacturing chain to be revised and fixed.

For those customers who wish it, the company can offer a painting service. The water paint used and the high efficiency bell furnace guarantee a long lasting covering.

When the paint is dry, the cylinders are ready for packing and shipping. Bicelli send their cylinders every day to several countries in and out of Europe.
